Handheld cell phone bans do not affect crash rates.

Next up: They will try to ban phones while driving altogether, handheld or hands-free.

  1. Lawmakers clearly didn’t set the penalties high enough. We should be cracking down on “drivers with intent to dial.” Double plus good!

  2. Lawmakers will try to ban anything they can to address the perception that people are incapable of exercising their own judgment in the matter of how to manage distractions while driving. And they’ll likely succeed until the sheeple wake up and smell the coffee they can no longer drink while rolling down the road.
