**SPOILERS** for last night’s House below.

They killed Kutner. Or rather, Kutner killed Kutner, so that Kal Penn could go to work for … the White House.

I was incredibly honored a couple of months ago to get the opportunity to go work in the White House. I got to know the President and some of the staff during the campaign and had expressed interest in working there, so I’m going to be the associate director in the White House office of public liaison. They do outreach with the American public and with different organizations. They’re basically the front door of the White House. They take out all of the red tape that falls between the general public and the White House. It’s similar to what I was doing on the campaign.

Well, far be it from me to say that Obama’s White House couldn’t really use a better public relations face. I wish Kal Penn the best, but if I were an actor on one of the best shows on television, I’m thinkin’ Reagan himself would have trouble prying me out of that slot. (Okay, let’s be honest, if I had any job that involved working next to Hugh Laurie, even if we were digging a ditch, any pol would be hard-pressed to pry me out.) I only hope KP doesn’t regret it later. Good luck …
