What Fresh Horror Is This?

Relax, it’s only a movie, but potentially the most bizarre one I’ve ever seen on an IMDb rap sheet.

I admit I thought it was yet more bizarre than it is–I originally assumed it was live-action. Whew.

Please, Good Directors Everywhere, drop your obsession with telling stories about human beings in the weird plastic medium of CGI. Leave it to cars and pull-string toys.

  1. Heh. Somewhere, someone just green lit this same story as acted by CGI cars. …as told by the Ghost of Junkyards Past.

I agree CGI hasn’t quite caught up to the nuance of performance an actual human being can produce. It is getting better but we’re not there yet.

  2. Now see, *that* would be a good movie: Cars: A Christmas Carol. Mater as the Ghost of Junkyards Past. Doc Hudson as Jacob Carley.

  3. I hope Christmas Future is creepy. There are several great film adaptations, but there has yet to be one that portrays Christmas Future as really creepy, like in the book. “Scrooged” was close, but not quite.
