Vacation

I have a lot of stuff to blog, but I leave tomorrow for the beach–and not one of the cold, rainy, windy ones that Oregon offers, either. I’ve never been to South Carolina before, so I’m really looking forward to it.

Well, of course the beach house has wireless. I’ll still blog, just not in the next couple days or so while we’re traveling.

Meanwhile, turns out that while I still don’t enjoy any Hugh Laurie humor I’ve ever seen except House, Sense and Sensibility, and Friends, is there any limit to the man’s talent? Apparently on top of everything else, he can also play the guitar.

  1. I hope you’re at a good beach and have a wonderful time. You probably don’t need to worry about rain because we’re in a drought. It’s really cold today but should be back in the 70s by next week, I think. Notice the bumper stickers! We have lots and one thing we rednecks are is patriotic.

Don’t expect to swim. Unless you’re Canadian! (The Canadians swim year ’round. We wear our heavy coats and watch them.)

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Vacation! (And why S.C.?)

  3. And, yeah, he plays both piano and guitar on House; I always assumed he was really playing both. It didn’t look fake.

  4. Okay, not only is he an accomplished pianist, guitar player, awesome actor and motorcycle enthusiast, he’s also written two novels, one a best-seller, and the other published this September. Too bad he’s married.

  6. Bumble, just look for Hugh Laurie Friends on YouTube and you’ll see the clip.

  7. Dang. It’s not just the piano and guitar. From Wikipedia: “Laurie can play the piano, guitar, drums, harmonica and saxophone.”

Oh yeah. I remember that bit now. The whole Emily-Rachel-Ross triangle never interested me. All three of those characters were very annoying. The show had better plots at times.
