I Don’t Get This
I keep seeing these photos, in various places, of the two Clintons Sr. together. And in all of them, Hillary looks relaxed,
warm,
and happy.
It’s almost like she’s in love with the guy.

Are you kidding? After all those years when she had to sit back while Bill was the power-house between them — and he misbehaved left and right — her run for the White House now finally has him on a short leash. If he screws it up while she’s campaiging, nobody would blame her for divorcing him. If he doesn’t screw up, she looks like St. Hillary for having stood by him.
It’s win-win for her.

Yeah, but I’d have cheered for a divorce much more for infidelity than for screwing up her political ambitions. If the case is as you state it, then her marriage really is nothing but a cynical exercise, and most certainly she doesn’t look like a saint for having stood by him *only* insofar as he furthers her ambition.

But, of course, you may be totally right about why she’s smiling. My objection only means that she’s misjudged voter reaction in *this* voter and others who think like me, if that’s the way she’s planned it.
