My Day Is Brightened
…by learning that P.J. O’Rourke believes in God. He also has a malignant hemorrhoid, learning of which does not brighten my day. I hope he soon recovers the structural integrity of his nethers.

And honestly, for someone I’d always assumed to be at most agnostic, he delivered one of the more moving and persuasive statements I’d ever read about believing in a God that permits, and even mandates, bad things happening.
