		<description>You need to have more kids just to raise the number of people working to support the larger number of people on the dole. 

It&#039;s clear that if you don&#039;t pay taxes, you shouldn&#039;t be able to vote. Think we can get somebody elected on that platform?</description>

And Steyn is making what is probably the immediate worst-case: That Obama will pull us so far to the left, economically, that we won&#039;t pull back out, like France with its mandated work weeks and Canada with its subsidized everything.</description>

Even the Great Depression only lasted about a decade, and that was in an era where demagogues like FDR could remain in office for life.  Worst case scenario: Obama successfully pulls the FDR trick once in 2012, is gone in 2017, and your 7 1/2 year old will barely know the difference.</description>
