Celebrities Insult You for Watching Their Work

And condescend to you over the knowledge needed to know you must register to vote. Because what are you doing right now … ? Watching TV, our product? Watching a movie, again our product? Watching this video online, still our product? Wow. You’re doing that instead of registering to vote? You know you gotta register, right? Ya know that, right?

Cuz remember, if you spend your time watching what we do, you must be dumber than dirt.

What a bunch of wackoffs. Honestly, the only one I was sorry to see in there, though, was Amy Adams.

  1. I very much doubt any of those videos will compel someone to vote if they weren’t already inclined to do so. I had stopped watching TV long enough to register to vote the week before I saw it so I can’t tell you how effective it was personally.

Yeah, as Allahpundit said, it’s too long… about 4:30 too long. Then again, a quick look at the comments on his blog post reminds me why I rarely go there even when I agree.

    Bleh. I need a shower.

  2. I was sad to see Laura Linney, I love her work and hate her politics. Actually, I don’t mind her politics if I didn’t know what they were, but everyone in that ad is going to vote for Obama. Bleh, you are a moron if you vote because Leo told you to.

  3. As noted over on HotAir…

    1. Apparently Leo DiC. missed it, but only one of the ice caps (the northern one) is melting (and even THAT much is uncertain). In the meantime, the Antarctic ice cap is increasing in thickness and breadth at a rate greater than the posited decrease in the Arctic.

    2. Apparently Jamie Foxx missed the memo (since average global temps have dropped in the last couple years, losing all of the gains of the previous 70-80 years) that it’s not called “global warming” anymore, but rather “global climate change.”

I suppose I shouldn’t be too hard on them… they’re just actors, it’s not like they are all that bright, and they have all those LINES to learn, it must be very taxing for them…

“Dumber than a Hollywood Liberal” is my new catchphrase.

  4. And to think their votes count as much as yours.

We should not be getting out the vote. We should be educating the voters and hoping that the only ones who show up are the ones with convictions, informed opinions and sense.

Pray for foul weather on election day. (And in Ohio, all the days between now and then.)
