His politics were not so bad when he didn't make them so obvious. <em>Studio 60</em> was practically unwatchable at times for that reason. I had a curious adventure with the original DVDs--they wouldn't play in my DVD player, I don't know why. I thought they must be defective; had Amazon replace them; second set wouldn't play either and then I had a fight with Amazon to make them refund my money. Right on. My wife was never interested in it when it was on the air, but she happened to watch one episode on DVD one day - next thing I knew, we had seen the entire series in a weekend.
