Called Castle, created by Andrew Marlowe and directed by Rob Bowman of The X-Files: Fight the Future. Fingers crossed for both a good show and a hit this time.

  1. The Whedon alums seem to do better on TV – compare David Boreanaz (Bones), Allison Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother) and Julie Benz (Dexter) with the film career of Sarah Michelle Gellar (a bunch of movies nobody saw.)

Although Southland Tales actually wasn’t bad, in a weird kind of way.

  2. Agreed. My TV/movie balance seems heavily skewed in favor of TV these days, so that works to my advantage.

  3. Fillion deserves better. He found just the right note to play in the giddy horror flick “Slither” and was terrific as the almost-noble co-lead in “Waitress.” Too bad he struggles for a regular gig still.

  4. Yeah, I couldn’t bring myself to see Slither even for him and I thought he was the primary good in an otherwise somewhat clumsy Waitress (I reviewed it here if you’re interested, category Reviews) but I hope this one will be a solid vehicle for him.
