And yeah, re Giuliani, he spent more time in the office and seemed to make it his career, where as far as I see it was more or less one stop among several different job paths for Thompson. 					<description>Any prosecutor's record also needs to be evaluated against the backdrop of the community he works in.  This line might help explain Thompson's apparently shaky record against moonshiners:

 Sounds to me like Thompson was working in an area that didn't necessarily consider moonshining to be that bad a crime, which means cases of that nature are more likely to result in dismissals or acquittals.  Based purely on the numbers, it doesn't sound like Thompson's perfomance was that bad.  Nothing that would make him want to try and compare prosecutor war stories with Guiliani, but he sounded worthy of the job.</description>
