I don't think I've seen any Black Adder, though, so I can't repudiate it, but I have seen some earlier incomprehensible British Hugh-mor (ha! ha!) and couldn't make heads or tails of it, much less laugh. He had me at "I came into Devonshire with no other view" in <em>Sense and Sensibility</em> but from all appearances, he was born to be House.
