I would have no interest in Dirty Sexy Money if it was not for Peter Krause, and Nathan Fillion is bringing me back to Desperate Housewives this season. And of course I am excited about Bionic Woman. Like a lot of BSG fans it was the Katee Sackhoff announcement that got my attention, but over time I got really interested in seeing how they will handle this machine they have created with the concept and the premise. How dark is too dark? Why did they make her a bartender? Etc. Glad to hear I am not the only one who picks TiVo choices by casting! As for Desperate Housewives, your ever-impressionable (TV-wise, anyway) sister started picking it up this week b/c of the Fillion thing. I watched a re-run from last season last night. Some woman found out her husband had cheated ages ago, took the supermarket he ran hostage, shot two people, and was then shot by one of her hostages. Very weird and melodramatic. Me want Nathan. Oh! No, it's that the show clearly wants us to put all our sympathies with Peter, between the two of them, but stuff like that knocked that goal over for me--I think they wanted us to keep sympathizing with him even though he was being a moron. That doesn't work for me. I was basically with Nathan despite his being more or less a jerk, right up until he announced that Peter had attempted suicide. Now I just think they're both asses. But then I remembered that this was a show about people with super-human abilities so, you know, I couldn't expect everything to be "realistic."
