He's not speaking of the difference between "any" and "almost;" he's speaking of the difference between "I'm in favor of allowing in any sane person" and what I actually wrote, which was "...any sound, sane, upstanding, law-abiding person who" either wants to become a citizen or wants to go to a U.S. university. I.E. I think people who want to become permanent citizens, with all the responsibilities that entails, would do well to assimilate a bit more than, say the people who have been rallying for illegals over the past couple of years, with the Mexican flag upper most. And people who want to go to school here should be required to either return home after they get their degree, or to become a citizen, not allowed to linger on indefinitely as noncitizens.
