Jennifer, my prediction has nothing to do with Joey Fatone's N'Sync past, although I realize many of the votes for him probably do. I gave up boy bands after a short and unfortunate flirtation with NKOTB in high school. ;) But he's good, and the N'Sync stage past is serving him very, very well. Based on this week's performance and Laila's faltering, I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's the favorite to win it all.

Just looked Thompson up on IMDB. He played an FBI agent in that silly movie mom and I used to watch: Baby's Day Out. I thought that voice sounded familiar.

I don't know very much about his policies but "President Thompson" has a nice ring to it. Well, fans of The Hunt for Red October know how he feels about the Russians. "Ruskies don't take a dump without a plan, son."

As for Mr. Thompson's public manifestation of Christianity, what part of "no religious test" does Dr. Dobson not understand? Sheesh. I prefer my politicians to make their decisions based on what they think is best for the Republic here on earth rather than for the Kingdom in Heaven.

As for the (Modern) Liberal thing... Stupid Hippies. I think he might be generalizing there just a weeeeeee bit but, he's got a book to sell. Still, Stupid Hippies.

As for the Dancing with the Stars thing... that's a show on TV, right?

I agree with Mr. Snow about 4% of the time but I hope he recovers quickly from his cancer. There have been some mighty anti-social things uttered by people who disagree with Mr. Snow's political leanings. That's really sad because, last time I checked, cancer doesn't check your party affiliation before moving in.

I agree about Laila, but I'm not seeing the Joey Fatone (ok, never knew much about him when he was in a boy band, so that works against him). I was SO surprised by Laila, and fascinated by her charisma, which I don't naturally attribute to a female boxer. I'm enjoying watching John Ratzenberger - he's just fun and he knows he won't win. I think the only other female who might make it to the finals is Shandi (the former USA), but realizing that a lot of this is name recognition for people to call in and vote, I think you've nailed it. :)
